3. Wheezing

If the airways in your body become inflamed, blocked, or constricted, the lungs will produce a whistling or wheezing sound as you are breathing. Wheezing may be associated with many causes and some of these can be easily treated and are benign.

While wheezing may be a symptom of allergies or asthma, it can also be a symptom of lung cancer. If you hear a whistling type sound when you are breathing make sure to have the cause of it verified by a doctor.
